Mental Production has produced a computer animated short film, entitled A Weird Day. Written by Mental Production crew. We have worked almost 1 year for this project.
這是本公司原創的動畫短，片名叫「耐人尋味」，由故事創作到製作投入歷時一年的時間。

Story Summary / 故事簡介:

A word “weird” is defined as something supernatural; unearthly. The weird things were happening on every day, every one, everywhere but you did not noticed. In one weird day, a man was victimized in certain weird experience. His house was destroyed cruelty, why is life so hard?
俗語說﹕「行船遇著對頭風，人衰行路打倒褪。」怎有人想過一個人只想關上櫃門，竟令他家園盡毀。如果上天要愚弄你，你真的不能躲避。正如一個經典漫畫標題﹕此事真「耐人尋味」……

A Weird Day / 耐人尋味

Character Design / 角色設計:
Our creative crew design a different version of main character and finally decide which should be used.
我們的創作組為角色創作出多個不同版本，最後決定使用現有造型。

Body and facial controller:
Our animation crew create a custom skeleton and facial rigging, it provide a perfect control for animating.
我們的動畫組創建了一套完整的關節和表情控制系統，大大加強了製作的方便程度。

Fur rendering:
Basically fur and hair rendering is very time consuming and difficult to control. Our render crew separate the fur to several zone, it can provide the maximum controls of the render quality vs time.
一般來說毛髮的渲染是CG動畫的惡夢，所以我的渲染組將毛髮生成細分多個區域。這樣就可以仔細控制各部份的形態和取樣，從而増加渲染的可控性和成本效益。
